Day 1: Arrive in Leh — rest

Fly to Leh via Delhi and rest to acclimatise.

Day 2: Leh sightseeing

Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, Hall of Fame and an easy afternoon.

Day 3: Leh to Nubra

Over Khardung La to Nubra: Diskit Monastery and the Hunder dunes.

Day 4: Turtuk day trip

Drive along the Shyok to Turtuk village and back to Nubra.

Day 5: Nubra to Pangong

Shyok road to Pangong Tso; lakeside camp.

Day 6: Pangong to Tso Moriri

A long drive through the Changthang plateau to Tso Moriri (road conditions permitting).

Day 7: Tso Moriri to Leh

Drive back to Leh, stopping at Hemis or Thiksey on the way.

Day 8: Fly home

Transfer to Leh airport.
