Visit visa or tourist visa — which one do you need?

They are mostly the same thing, called different names. For the Gulf — the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain — it is usually called a visit visa, and it is normally sponsored by a relative, a company or a hotel, or issued by an airline. For the rest of the world — Schengen Europe, the UK, the USA, Singapore, Thailand and so on — it is called a tourist visa and you apply to the embassy or its application centre. Two separate amounts: the government or embassy fee, which is fixed and published, and our service charge for preparing and submitting the file. We tell you both before you pay, and the embassy fee is the same whether you come to us or apply yourself. Fees change, so ask us for today’s figure rather than trusting an old number online.

Questions we are often asked

How much does a Dubai visit visa cost in Kerala?

It depends on the length — 30 days, 60 days or longer — and the rate moves with the airline and the season, so there is no one fixed price. Can I get a visa without an agent?

For many countries, yes, and we will say so. Gulf visit visas can be applied for by a sponsor or through an airline, and most tourist visas can be filed yourself on the embassy portal. What you pay us for is knowing which documents that particular consulate rejects, filling the form so it is not sent back, booking the appointment, and having one person to call. If your case is simple we will tell you that too.

What is the visa consultancy fee?

Our service charge is separate from the government fee and depends on the country and how much work the file needs. We quote it up front, in writing, before you hand over anything.

Do you do visa stamping?

Stamping for the Gulf is done at the official centres — Tasheer for Saudi Arabia, VFS for several others — and the nearest ones serve Kozhikode directly. We prepare your file, tell you exactly which centre to go to and what to carry, and fix the appointment. We cannot stamp a passport ourselves; nobody outside those centres can.

Which visa has the highest rejection rate?

Among the ones travellers from here apply for, the US and Schengen visitor visas are refused most often, usually for weak proof of funds or of a reason to return. Gulf visit visas are refused far less, and most often over passport validity, an earlier overstay or a name that does not match the passport. We check all three before anything is submitted.

How long does a visa take?

Gulf visit visas are often a few working days. Schengen, the UK and the USA run to weeks and need an appointment first, and in the summer those appointments fill months ahead. Each guide on this site carries the realistic time for that country — do not book flights until the visa is in hand.

Which countries can Indians visit without a visa?

The list changes every few months, so we check it per trip rather than quoting a number. The Gulf mostly needs a visa; Thailand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Nepal and the Maldives are among the easiest.
