Itinerary

Day 1: Guwahati to Shillong

Arrive and drive to Shillong. Evening at Police Bazaar.

Day 2: Shillong to Shnongpdeng

Drive to Shnongpdeng on the Umngot river for a riverside camp: kayaking, snorkelling and a bonfire (activities are seasonal).

Day 3: Shnongpdeng to Cherrapunji

Morning on the river, then drive to Cherrapunji via Mawlynnong.

Day 4: Nongriat and Rainbow Falls trek

Full-day guided trek to the double-decker root bridge and on to Rainbow Falls.

Day 5: Laitlum and Shillong

Sunrise at Laitlum canyons, then back to Shillong.

Day 6: Shillong to Guwahati

Drive to Guwahati for your flight home.

Season

River activities run in the dry months, roughly November to April. In the monsoon, water activities are restricted and we switch to a waterfalls-focused plan.
