Itinerary

Day 1: Bagdogra to Gangtok

Arrive at Bagdogra and drive to Gangtok. Permits for North Sikkim are processed with your ID.

Day 2: Gangtok to Lachung

Scenic drive north past waterfalls to Lachung village (about 6–7 hours).

Day 3: Yumthang Valley and Zero Point

Morning at Yumthang Valley and, road permitting, Zero Point for snow, then drive back to Gangtok.

Day 4: Tsomgo Lake

Day trip to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir.

Day 5: Gangtok to Pelling

Drive to Pelling in West Sikkim. Evening views of Kanchenjunga.

Day 6: Pelling sightseeing

Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdentse ruins, Khecheopalri Lake and the Pelling skywalk.

Day 7: Pelling to Darjeeling

Drive to Darjeeling; evening on the Mall.

Day 8: Darjeeling to Bagdogra

Early Tiger Hill sunrise (optional), then drive to Bagdogra for your flight.

North Sikkim road rule

Since 10 September 2026, tourist vehicles must cross the Toong check-post by 4 pm in both directions, so North Sikkim days start early.

Gurudongmar option

A Lachen night can be added for Gurudongmar Lake (above 5,000 m). It is not advised for infants, elderly travellers or anyone with heart or breathing problems.
