• Through the Haj Committee of India — pilgrims apply online when applications open for the year, usually through the Haj Committee’s official website or app. If there are more applicants than seats, pilgrims are chosen by draw (qurrah). Kerala pilgrims are handled through the Kerala State Hajj Committee.
• Through a registered Hajj Group Organiser — private operators allotted a quota by the Ministry of Minority Affairs. Always check that an operator is on the official list before paying anyone.

How do I check whether a Hajj tour operator is genuine?

The Ministry of Minority Affairs publishes the list of registered Hajj Group Organisers on its official Haj portal (packages.haj.gov.in). Only book private Hajj with an operator on that list.

Where do I apply through the Haj Committee?
