For Hajj 2027, the Haj Committee of India accepted applications online and on the Haj Suvidha app from 22 June 2026, and held the draw on 30 July 2026. If you were selected, the next steps are the balance payments, medical screening and training announced by the Haj Committee; if you were not, watch the waiting lists and plan to apply again when Hajj 2028 applications open. Hajj itself is expected in mid-May 2027; the exact dates depend on the Islamic calendar.

Who could apply: the 2027 rules
- Seniors (65 and over) must travel with a companion aged 18–65, and get first priority in the draw. This was 70+ in earlier years.
- Ladies without Mehram aged 45 and over apply in groups of four or five; a lady aged 65 or over in this category needs a female companion aged 45–60.
- General groups have one to five adults. Children under 15 cannot go.
- Passport must be machine-readable, issued before the application deadline and valid until at least 31 December 2027.
- Health: the 2027 guidelines exclude some conditions, including organ failure, dementia, late or high-risk pregnancy, active infectious disease and chemotherapy.
- People who have performed Hajj before cannot apply again, except as a Mehram or companion with extra charges.
If you were selected: what to do now
- Pay each instalment by the date in the Haj Committee’s circulars — missing a deadline can cancel your seat.
- Check your passport is valid until at least 31 December 2027; if not, apply for re-issue now.
- Complete the medical screening and vaccinations when the Haj Committee asks.
- Attend the training classes arranged by the Kerala State Haj Committee.
- Follow circulars on hajcommittee.gov.in and the Haj Suvidha app for flight schedules from Calicut, Cochin or Kannur.
If you were not selected
- The Haj Committee releases waiting lists as seats become free — a second waiting list has already been issued.
- Keep your documents ready for Hajj 2028 applications, which usually open around the middle of the year.
- Private Hajj is possible only through Hajj Group Organisers registered with the Ministry of Minority Affairs — check the official list on pto.haj.gov.in before paying anyone.
- Many families perform Umrah while they wait: see our 15-day Umrah package or the December Umrah group.
