The Golden Triangle at a glance
The Golden Triangle joins Delhi, Agra and Jaipur — three cities about five hours apart by road. It is the classic first trip to north India: the Taj Mahal, Mughal forts, Old Delhi's lanes and Jaipur's pink palaces.
Best time to visit
- October to March is the most comfortable season.
- Summer afternoons (April–June) are very hot, and in December–January fog can delay flights and trains.
Taj Mahal rules
- The Taj Mahal is closed every Friday. Our itineraries never place Agra on a Friday.
- Night viewing runs only on five nights around the full moon (never on Fridays or during Ramzan), with tickets on the official ASI portal.
Getting there from Kozhikode
- Calicut and Kochi have nonstop flights to Delhi.
- By train: the Rajdhani Express (12431) runs from Kozhikode to Delhi three times a week (about 34 hours).
