Itinerary

Day 1: Guwahati to Shillong

Arrive at Guwahati and drive to Shillong, stopping at Umiam Lake. Evening at Police Bazaar.

Day 2: Cherrapunji (Sohra)

Elephant Falls, then Cherrapunji: Seven Sisters Falls, Eco Park and Mawsmai cave.

Day 3: Nongriat root bridge

Guided trek down to the double-decker living root bridge at Nongriat, with a view of Nohkalikai Falls. Night in Cherrapunji or Shillong.

Day 4: Mawlynnong and Dawki

Mawlynnong village and the Riwai single root bridge, then boating on the clear Umngot river at Dawki. Back to Shillong.

Day 5: Shillong to Guwahati

Ward's Lake, then drive to Guwahati — with a visit to Kamakhya temple if time allows — for your flight.
