Tourism or business only. The supporting visa or permit must be valid on your entry date; used or unused visas both count, but other countries' e-visas do not. Carry the original supporting document; airlines and Turkish immigration check it. If the supporting visa is in an old passport, carry the old passport too. Documents to prepare

  • Passport valid at least 6 months on arrival in Türkiye, with at least 2 blank pages; previous passports too.6
  • Visa application form filled by hand in block letters, signed, with one biometric photo; 2 photos 2.5 x 2.5 inch, white background, taken within 6 months.6
  • Cover letter with full travel plan, plus employer leave letter (or school NOC for students).6
  • Last 3 months' salary slips, last 6 months' bank statements stamped by the bank, minimum balance INR 2 lakh per person, and ITR for the last 3 years.6
  • Round-trip flight reservation and hotel booking; Aadhaar and PAN copies as proof of civil status.6
  • Minors need a notarised consent letter from both parents.6
  • For the e-Visa: the original supporting Schengen/US/UK/Ireland visa or residence permit must be carried when entering Türkiye.2

Applying from Kerala

  • Kerala is under the Consulate General of Türkiye in Mumbai. VFS centres for this jurisdiction include Kochi (Cochin), Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Puducherry.59
  • VFS Global Türkiye Kochi (Cochin) is open Monday to Friday, 09:00–15:00.4
  • Your work and home address decide your jurisdiction; if your passport was issued outside the Mumbai jurisdiction you must give local address proof (for example a registered rental agreement).56
  • The e-Visa is done online only. No agency is authorised by Turkish missions in India to issue e-Visas; fake e-visa sites charge more than twice the official price.2

  • 1 January 2026: Gateway International ended its Türkiye visa service in India in January 2026. VFS Global now runs the Türkiye visa centres as the Embassy's official partner.108
